Roselle Hibiscus Sorrel Drink Recipe
HOW TO MAKE SORREL DRINK:
Here is the list of ingredients for sorrel drink. Some other versions may differ from ours, but we are proven to provide premium sorrel wine mocktail. Enjoy!

5 qt. water

7 oz. dried hibiscus sorrel flower

1 lb. of molasses brown sugar
-
1/4 lb. fresh ginger root
-
7 pieces of cloves
-
2 cinnamon sticks
-
1 orange peel (optional)
RECIPE INSTRUCTIONS:

Using a clean 10-12 qt. bouillon pot, place cinnamon sticks, cloves, and peeled chopped ginger root in freshwater

Boil water with spices for approximately 20 minutes.

Remove from heat and immediately submerge the red dried hibiscus edible flowers in the hot liquid, usually at boiling point temperature, which is 212 degrees Fahrenheit or 100 degrees Celsius.

Cover the pot leaving a small gap for cooling. Allow the mixture to sit for 8 - 12 hours before liquid extraction. During the eight hours or more of cooling, flavors and nutrients are pulled from the spices and dried sorrel plant creating an electrifying exotic taste.

After the sorrel has been in liquid for hours, strain using a bouillon strainer into a clean container.

Add molasses brown sugar to the strained sorrel mix and stir well with a large serving spoon.

Allow the liquid to remain still for 30-60 minutes for dregs to settle at the bottom of the container.

Without stirring the mixture, strain once more using a clean bouillon strainer. During the extraction process, pour sorrel Christmas drink slowly into a receiving container. While straining, upon notice of any settling dregs, usually 1/2 cup, cease pouring and discard the settled particles.
