It is very important for us as a nation and communities to safeguard ourselves while discovering new ways to normalize new ventures. The upcoming South of James Farmers Market in Richmond VA is no different. Below are the guidelines, relayed from the governor's office for the upcoming Farmers Market to be held on March 28, 2020.
Governors Office Guidelines: We hope everyone is safe and well during this complicated time. The following is a description of how we hope and expect Saturday to flow. Please remember this is a new concept and a first-time venture. Adhering to protocols and constructive feedback is crucial to our ability to move forward.
A police officer and multiple RMC staff will be on-site directing traffic and dealing with other issues.
No customer will be allowed to get out of their vehicle and there are no walk-up sales. This is critical in our ability to move forward.
Customer vehicles will enter the park, be directed to the left, drive down the left side, make their purchases, and exit on the right.
It's recommended that customers arrive at staggered times.
Islsnac and other vendor's requirements:
Gloves shall be worn.
Have very visible signage.
Cannot give change to customers.
Very limited interactions with customers.
Patience is going to be key to the success of this venture. The market will be open from 9 am - 1 pm. For those who are able to attend, the process can be streamlined by pre-ordering online for an easy pickup on Saturday.
